Ask, Act, Live To Reduce Your Risk of Breast Cancer

Pure_buckets_banner Breast Cancer Awareness Month is quickly approaching.  While the conversation about early detection and treatment is prevalent throughout October, breast cancer prevention is rarely part of the discussion.  In fact, only one in 10 women who have breast cancer have a genetic history of the disease and science increasingly points to environmental factors in the sharp rise of breast cancer incidence.

The Breast Cancer Fund and LUNA have launched Pure Prevention, a new campaign to raise awareness about the environmental causes of breast cancer and empower us to ask, act, and live to reduce our risk!  What we put on and in our bodies can make a difference.  By learning the facts, we can make smart choices about the products we use every day.

Pure Prevention focuses on 5 Tips for easy, everyday actions to help reduce the risk of breast cancer : Create a Healthy Home; Eat Smart; Choose Safe Cosmetics; Get Outside; and Join the Campaign to spread the word about prevention.

The campaign works to help you spread the word about prevention.  As you observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month, help us broaden the conversation about the environmental causes of breast cancer.
